CRA tax deadlines 2027

The CRA filing and payment deadlines Canadian accounting and bookkeeping firms work to in 2027, for 2026 returns and 2027 instalments. Dates that fall on a weekend or public holiday are already moved to the day the CRA treats as on time.

Works with Outlook, Google Calendar, and Apple Calendar. Dates checked against CRA sources on .

Confirm before you rely on a date

When a due date falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or a public holiday recognized by the CRA, the CRA treats a return or payment as on time if it is received, or postmarked, by the next business day. Several provinces have their own holidays, so check local dates for clients outside your province. This calendar covers general rules for most filers; a client’s own facts can change a deadline. It is guidance, not tax advice.

Recurring and client-specific dates

GST/HST monthly and quarterly filers
File and pay one month after the end of each reporting period. Annual filers who are not self-employed individuals with a December 31 year-end file and pay three months after their fiscal year-end.
Payroll remittances
Due dates depend on the remitter type, which the CRA sets from the average monthly withholding amount two calendar years earlier. Regular remitters pay by the 15th of the following month.
Corporate instalments
Monthly or quarterly, due on the last day of the month or quarter, depending on the corporation’s instalment schedule.

Track these dates per client, not in a spreadsheet

A calendar tells you when something is due. It does not tell you which clients it applies to, who owns each filing, or what is still waiting on the client. In CPA Buddy, each filing is an engagement with a due date and an owner, and your team gets automatic due-date reminders before it slips. A pre-loaded tax calendar is coming soon.
