About CPA Buddy

CPA Buddy is practice management software for small bookkeeping, accounting, and tax firms. It is the firm’s HQ for client deadlines, document requests, a shared client inbox, engagement letters with e-signature, time and billing, and a built-in AI assistant, and it works alongside the bookkeeping, tax preparation, and filing software firms already use.

Why we built it

Most small accounting, bookkeeping, and tax firms run the practice on a patchwork. The books live in QuickBooks or Xero and the returns in tax software. Everything else is spread across a deadline spreadsheet, a shared drive, personal inboxes, and somebody’s memory. The larger practice management platforms were built and priced for bigger firms, and they assume someone has time for an implementation project.

CPA Buddy is the HQ for the firms in between: clients, deadlines, documents, client email, engagement letters, time, and billing in one place, next to the software you already use. Most firms set it up themselves within a week, with no IT staff and no consultant.

How we build it

Alongside your tools, not instead of them

CPA Buddy does not replace your tax preparation, e-filing, or bookkeeping software. It runs the firm around them, and QuickBooks Online client sync is live today.

Built for both sides of the border

Every feature on every plan
